Customers from the automotive industry can be generally divided into producers of car care products and manufacturers or packagers of automotive parts. For this second category, we produce rating plates or logistics labels printed on different types of papers and films, as well as on aluminium or metallic plates intended for marking spare parts, engines and components. These labels must allow for the printing of variable data using thermal transfer technology for different types of films, and must be highly resistant to temperature and abrasion.
Labels for car care products, such as windscreen washer fluids or engine oils, require the appropriate kinds of films with carefully selected adhesives. The variety of manufacturing processes often requires that the label be applicable to different types of surface, sometimes smooth but sometimes rough. The environment in which the product is to be stored is also variable. The extreme conditions of winter or summer in a car’s boot or at a petrol station, the risk of contact with moisture, snow, or bright sunshine, as well as long storage periods all require the labels to be carefully finished.
To ensure the highest resistance to mechanical damage and extreme weather conditions, specialist inks with increased resistance to bright sunlight are used, as is additional OPP lamination. In this process, the label is covered with a layer pf synthetic material which gives it considerably greater resistance than UV varnishes.
